Recording rates vary depending on number of songs, rehearsals, complication of parts and whether or not you have parts written.
However...
Basic Rates
these rates are based on the assumption that I will be overdubbing and will have the tracks to practice with prior to recording
$100 - minimum, up to two songs and/or two hours in studio
$200 - up to four songs and/or four hours in studio
$500 - "album" up to two days in studio
some negotiations/trade can be made for special cases
